The other side of the Gaza tragedy… and perhaps the noble side of it… is that it awakened many peoples to the nature of the Palestinian tragedy as the tragedy of an occupied people by a gang of criminals and murderers… and the most important aspect of this tragedy is that it awakened the peoples of the world to a truth that they had not seen clearly… or forgotten. With time, the successive governments of the United States of America and the governments of the Israeli occupation state are governments that sponsor terrorism, killing, and destruction of other peoples without human or moral justification, except greed for the wealth of weak peoples, regardless of the size of the human victims.
The volume of recorded videos of individuals from Western nations condemning the crimes of the occupation and the crimes of the American governments is pouring into the thousands on social media sites. This is equal to the positions recorded in recent days by some celebrities from the figures of philosophy, literature, art, music, and law, or some parliamentarians and official ministers in current European governments. …with the positions recorded to us by not-so-small sectors of Jews who are anti-Zionist and opposed to the positions of the government of the occupying state..
The most important thing, in my opinion, is what we have seen of the positions of many European and Western youth in general towards the Palestinian issue, who have never heard of the Palestinian tragedy before, nor lived through the era of the Vietnamese tragedy in the sixties, and perhaps do not remember the Iraqi tragedy and the Afghan tragedy in the nineties.
The videos I see are bombarding us from all sides… from the East and the West, proving many facts… including:
The tragedy of Gaza…and the tragedy of the Palestinians has sparked a great awakening of conscience in the West…an awakening of conscience that is not limited to more human sympathy from the children, women and men of Gaza…but it is an awakening against the ruling Western regimes themselves…the tragedy of Gaza has revealed to these peoples hypocrisy, lies and imbalance. Standards of its governing systems in dealing with human tragedies.
It revealed to us, among other things, the extent to which the youth group in the entire world is the group with the purest human conscience and the most searching for the highest ideals and values of justice and equality.
The reason for this is that it is the group that has not yet entered the system of work and capitalist institutions and is contaminated with the opportunistic values of brutal capitalism.. as the late American philosopher Herbert Marcuse pointed out in his follow-up of the youth revolutions in America, France, and Europe at the end of the sixties..
The youth group is the target group of all the governments of the world for the purpose of subjugating them to the prevailing mode of governance and production and breaking their rebellion against the falsehood, interests, and opportunism of the executive, legislative, and educational institutions integrated into the brutal, hypocritical global system.
Young people always remain the group searching for noble values, social justice, and equality among people, regardless of color, gender, and religion.
Therefore, we must find ways to communicate with this group in universities and the locations in which they are located… and from here comes the important role that Arab students can play everywhere… as well as the important role that Arab academics and professors can play in Western universities to communicate with their students and colleagues. At work ..
This is more useful than all the bureaucratic media organizations on which billions are spent to no avail.
Therefore, youth will remain the conscience of nations.
It is an awakening of conscience, gentlemen!!
